AMBER Alert Distance Learning Opportunities

The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) and The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) are pleased to announce the online training course:

Public Safety Telecommunications Best Practices in Responding to
Incidents of Missing, Abducted & Sexually Exploited Children and AMBER Alerts

This 100% online course is designed to provide public safety telecommunicators, call-takers and dispatchers with the tools and training which promote swift and decisive response in the critical, early stages of incidents involving missing, abducted and sexually exploited children. The course is delivered through Fox Valley Technical College’s Blackboard Online Learning System and is designed to be completed in a self-directed manner. The content is delivered across five modules and is designed to require a total of 5-6 hours to complete.

Registration is now open! Multiple course sections have been scheduled to assist communications supervisors in planning for training at times which best support their centers’ operating needs.
